Painted Patterned Pumpkins

Give your autumn décor a creative twist with hand-painted pumpkins. In this easy tutorial, we’ll show you how to use Rit FreeFlow Paint Markers to create bold stripes, playful checks and diamond patterns on real or faux pumpkins. A fun, no-carve project to bring a personal touch to your Halloween display.

Supplies:

  • Rit FreeFlow Marker Monochrome
  • Plastic Faux Pumpkins or Real Pumpkins
  • Clear Acrylic Sealer
  • Paper Towels

Time: 30 Minutes

Difficulty: Beginner

Instructions:

  1. Clean pumpkins to remove any finishes or dirt and allow them to fully dry.  
  2. Use bullet tip to draw lines for checkerboard, diamonds or stripes.  
  3. Allow it to dry then use brush tip to color in the patterns.  
  4. Once dry, spray with clear acrylic sealer to finish.
