- Rit DyeMore for Synthetics in Plum Berry
- Tongs
- Paper Towels
- Rubber Gloves
- Stove Pot
- Container for Dyeing
- Measuring Cup and Spoons
Difficulty: Beginner
Time: Total: 1 hour
Instructions:
- Cover work area with plastic table cover and have paper towels handy to protect against any possible spills. Gather supplies.
- For best results, rinse faux flowers in cold water to remove any finishes that may interfere with dye absorption. Leave damp.
- Wearing rubber gloves, fill small container with 1 cup of very hot water. Temperature should ideally be 200ºF.
- Add 2 tbsp of Plum Berry DyeMore for Synthetics to dyebath.
- Immerse flower heads into dyebath for 2-5 minutes to achieve very light Plum Berry Color or leave in longer for a deeper shade. When desired color is achieved, remove from dyebath. Fabric will look darker when wet and will dry lighter.
- Reshape petals and rinse in warm water then gradually cool until rinse water runs clear.
- Allow it to dry fully.
