Dyed Wine Cork Flag

Turn your celebratory champagne pops into a Red, Wine and Blue work of art for the Fourth of July.
Supplies:
- Wooden Board
- Wine Corks (Natural)
- Rit All-Purpose Liquid Dye in Scarlet and Indigo
- Containers for dyeing, two
- Craft Adhesive
- Gloves
- Paper towels
- Plastic table cover
Time: 1 Hour
Difficulty: Beginner
Instructions:
- Protect your work area with plastic and gather supplies.
- Cover wooden board with as many wine corks it takes to fill it up completely.
- Decide how many rows and columns of wine corks will be blue and how many will be red based on the flag. Separate them into piles.
- Create two dyebaths in separate containers with hot water. If tap water is not hot enough, add water from the kettle.
- Pour Scarlet All-Purpose Liquid Dye into one dyebath and Indigo All-Purpose Liquid Dye in the other.
- Place wine corks into dyebath based on the piles created in Step 3.
- Stir on and off for 15-30 minutes or until desired color is achieved, then rinse in cold water.
- Allow dyed wine corks to fully dry.
- Adhere dyed cork boards onto wooden board as shown
